China porcelain biscuit makes fabulous lamps at under 100€

When Compagnie Française de l’Orient et de la Chine closed down a few years ago, most Parisians were upset. It was the best place to find relatively cheap Chinese salad bowls and confortable silk outfits for Christmas. And their shop on bd Haussmann was superb ! Well it still is under knew ownership, and I found some great bargains in the middle of ultra chic Japanese furniture and Indian cushions.

Indian vases in multicolor shades sell for 300€

The atmosphere is elegant and light in this corner store facing Veyrat fleurs, one of the best florists in Paris. The sales woman was hyper professional and interesting explaining at lentgh the originis of each product. The shop is not devoted only to Asian countries anymore but carries accessories from Latin America, India, the Philippines and eventually Africa.

What I liked best, were the white china biscuit lamps for under 100€, the Indian vases and the lacquered coconut bowls for 25€. I indulged in a series of orange juice glasses that could almost come from Murano and looked very trendy.

The multicolor glass vases from India are also fabulous and reasonable at around 300€.
