30 year old Charlotte Dauphin de la Rochefoucauld creates sculptural rings

There is an interesting will of construction and architecture in the new line of jewelry called « Volume » designed by Charlotte Dauphin de la Rochefoucauld for her three year old company Maison Dauphin. This young woman, who is based in London with her family, was trained in communications and art history and you can see that her mind is very constructed. She will be 30 this year.

“Volume” ring by Maison Dauphin in gold and diamonds is a little piece of architecture

The 18 th century decor of Hôtel d’Evreux is a fabulous showcase for the rings presented on DAS designed aluminum columns

The presentation at Hôtel d’Evreux on place Vendôme was designed by DAS studio, design and architecture scenography,  created by Felix de Montesquiou. Ant the aluminum columns showing necklaces and rings were a fabulous response to Napoléon’s column facing the Ritz. A true architectural statement.

From the Serpentine series a bracelet in blue gold and black diamonds

There is something very whimsical about these light diamond rings and pendents which you can play around with. « The concept of stacking is taken to its limits …the objects can be assembled and disassembled endlessly… through a controlled improvisation » writes Charlotte.

Rings of “blue gold” and black diamonds are especially striking but also come in white diamonds and prices start around 2 000 €. Bangles and neckaces are more expensive.

The grand daughter of Jacques Dauphin, the genius founder of Dauphin advertising, Charlotte never knew her father who died when she was one. Her intensity in explaining the construction of her designs is charming and the impeccable taste of her creations is striking.the general effect is very elegant, fun and personalised.
