French golf pro Nathalie Jeanson has been a friend to many golfers for a long time and her recent appointment as general manager of the Golf Paris Longchamp  makes all of her fans very happy. This is one of the good surprises of “deconfinement” and I wanted to share it with you. She has just been asked by businessman Antoine Arnault and Pascal Grizot, vice president of the French Golf Federation, to reorganize, on the racecourse of Longchamp, the golf practice and teaching facilities. As the Vice President of the French PGA, she was the ideal candidate.

The Golf Paris Longchamp is located ten minutes from Porte Maillot and is the largest junior golf school in France with over 600 children. Founded by French champion Patrick Cros in 1999, it has been located on the racecourse of Longchamp, in the Bois de Boulogne, for the last ten years. On racing days, the practice facilities are closed. There are various short game and putting green areas which will soon be redesigned by former Ryder cup green keeper Alejandro Reyes.

Antoine Arnault is determined to have a wonderful restaurant adapted to sportsmen which will be a meeting place at lunch time. This is very good news! And Pascal Grizot, who brought the Ryder cup to Paris in 2018,  is both an excellent player and a visionary golfer.

Nathalie Jeanson, a French National Junior champion, went on to win the French amateur championship and played in the World French team with Catherine Lacoste. From those years, she produced a book on Lally de Saint Sauveur, winner of the British and probably French greatest woman golfer. After studying at USC in Los Angeles, she became the first foreigner to play on the Japanese tour (for seven years). She has since, been organizing amazing cultural and golf tours in Japan. She also helped foreign investors design golf clubs in France in the 1990’s. She currently runs Le Grand Club, a virtual golf club, which allows its members to play on 35 golf clubs in France and Morocco. Nathalie has played in every country in the world and speaks perfect English and Japanese.

Her expertise as vice-president of the French Professional Golf Association, will certainly help her bring to Paris the latest techniques and material for the members, including all the latest Japanese golf accessories and an International aura. She is passionate about British and Irish golf courses and has accumulated much wisdom through all the tournaments she has played there. One of her first actions last week, was to greet personally every player on the practice range. A simple way of making them feel welcome. Her experience and love of golf are unequaled. And her charisma has won her many friends.

  1. Gambate Nathalie
Je ne m’inscris pas pour le golf bien que je me sois entraînée grâce à la famille de Nathalie (coupe des laboureurs du golf de Compiègne) mais j’attends avec impatience l’ouverture du restaurant
