Félicie Corre le Blan is wearing l’Inconstante, a Chinese reversible jacket in embroidered silk and denim, 270€

After working for 15 years with Hermès in Paris and in Shanghai, Félicie le Blan has started her own luxury company with business partner Carine Boyer, who recently moved to New York. These two French ladies were frustrated not to find the right designs in Chinese fashion so they decided to use the best of Chinese silk and pristine velvet, to create European style fashion at modest prices.  Chinoises.fr is the name of the company from which you can mail order in time for Xmas! It combines French chic with Chinese ancestral materials.

Carine Boyer and Félicie le Blan also sell colonial furniture which they revamp with trendy fabrics

Each piece is sold with a label indicating where it was made and the history of the particular Chinese style it was designed from. This month, new belts will be for sale with embroideries from the Miao minority in Guizhou province. There are jade bracelets with leather at 45€, and evening velvet coats for 450€. I particularly like the mix of reversible denim fabric with traditional silk cuffs of l’Inconstante.

Men are not forgotten in this collection, they have a stricter jacket made in denim for 130€. Besides the classical line of jackets and coats, capsule collections are launched regularly with new items. Shanghai has never been more fashionable than at present with the opening of the new Pompidou Center, and the long tradition of French decoration in the booming city, serves these adventurous young women.
