Atys, Brooklyn Academy of Music, 2011 © BAM: the costumes are among 150 pieces exhibited at  Barockissimo

If you remember the luxurious costumes of Atys by Lully created by Sir William Christie at Opéra Comique in 1987 or at BAM in New York in 2011, you will enjoy the costume exhibition, “Barockissimo” at Centre National du Costume de Scène, in Moulins, from April 9 to September 18. For its 10 th anniversary, this very original museum in the center of France, will show baroque costumes from Les Art Florissants’ productions. The curator is Martine Kahane, founder of the museum, who is also President of William Christie’s company. What a wonderful way to celebrate the genius baroque musician and a great lady of opera.

“Carambolages”(crashes) From March 2 to July 4, 2016, a major exhibition curated by Jean-Hubert Martin, one of France’s most brilliant curators and art historian. He will give us his own and very original vision of art history at Grand Palais.

From June 18 to July 3, Christo will walk on water on Lake Iseo in Northern Italy. The famous artist who wrapped the Berlin Reichstag and the Pont Neuf in Paris and created an orange walk in Central Park, will surprise us once again! and it’s best to book hotels now.
